Local 932 Sisters Support Coos Bay Zonta's GRiTT Summer Camp for Girls.
Local 932 Sisters Maria Hughes and Alysia Borgogno took part in Coos Bay Zonta's GRiTT Summer Camp for girls on Friday, August 16th. This marks the 3rd year that Local 932 Sisters have taken part in this camp that helps teach young women, between the ages of 8 and 12, about the trades. This year, our Sisters built some activity boards, so that the campers could test their skills at wiring a basic lighting circuit. Activities like this will help reinforce that the building trades are a viable option for young women to choose as their future career.

Local 932 President and JATC Instructor Eric Sherman and Apprentice Alysia Borgogno can be seen below at a recent high school career fair. Eric and Alysia are attending career fairs in the central and northern portions of the jurisdiction, while Brian Coplin attends in the south. They are letting these high school students know about the opportunities that an IBEW apprenticeship can offer for their future. Local 932 is saddened to announce the passing of retired member Delbert Palmer. Del was a long time member of local 932, who originally came to us from IBEW Local 716. Delbert served several terms as an Executive board officer.
