International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 932 was chartered in 1936 by IBEW International President DW Tracy for Marshfield and vicinity - later changed to Coos Bay in 1944.  Today, Local 932's jurisdiction has expanded to include most of the Oregon Coast, from the Oregon/California border northward to the Lincoln/Tillamook County line.  U.S. Highway 101 traverses the length of our jurisdiction, forming the main street of most coastal towns, and providing some of the most spectacular scenery and recreational opportunities in North America.

Despite the relatively sparse population, our members form the majority of electrical workers and perform the majority of electrical work in the region.  Whether it is residential wiring, service, commercial & instutional facilities, seafood processing, heavy industry, maritime, hospitality - our members are proud to keep the lights on and keep our communities running.

Through our affiliated apprenticeship - Pacific Inside Electrical JATC - we provide nationally recognized curriculum and paid on-the-job training for apprentices and journey-level workers.  Our members work under a regularly negotiated collective bargaining agreement that secures living wages and benefits for themselves and their families.
